Southpointe Community Located near the entrance to Linville Gorge at the base of Linville Falls and bordered by Lake James State Park and Pisgah National Forest, the private community of Southpointe is on a peninsular of land extending into pristine Lake James. The view across the lake is NC State forest and will always be natural and protected. The sun sets on the mountain ranges directly across the lake.
